Diary Entry – 16th January 2020

Sonar 16 Jan 2020

This afternoon we were at the gynea, so excited to see your growth and progress. Your Daddy and Oumi (My Marmi) came with this time. I was extremely excited for them to experience this with us today.

The nurse did her usual checks, my urine was clear, my BP was great, I put on 4kg (yikes – think the Christmas festivities helped that along).

So waiting in the sonar room we were chatting about possibly being able to find out if you are a boy or a girl…at 16 weeks there is a possibility of seeing. Your Daddy and I want to have a gender reveal party, so we will see how that goes.

You were so very active while the sonar was being done, first you were on your “tummy”, then on your back, some arm and leg movement and some wiggling around. It was just BEAUTIFUL!

The Dr measured your head, your little body and your upper leg, your femur. Today 16 weeks and 6 days. 13cm and 145gr. What a growth jump from 57gr to 145gr.

I thank my Lord and Savior all this time for you, our little miracle. How amazing to watch your progress at each sonar and see the most amazing thing…God’s creation, as He knits you together in my womb.

Your Oumi said she felt quite emotional. We all love you tremendously! But I know that God loves you more. And so, the Dr sent me for the last blood test, to test your sugar. Next appointment is 13 February 2020, on your Daddy’s birthday…not just any birthday – the big 40. We are all so very excited!

weekly growth on whattoexpect.com

My favourite site to frequent is www.whattoexpect.com/pregnancy/week-by-week and read up about all the things happening inside my womb, your growth, how big you are each week and symptoms of pregnancy. I feel like it helps me understand things better and in a way feel more ready about what I am experiencing.

Love you Kapok, our little K.C.

Bible verses at the bottom of my written book:
Hebrews 16:5 “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.”
Proverbs 16:24 Kind words are like honey – sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.
Nehemiah 8:10 The joy of the Lord is your strength!
